During the May Bluffton Town Council Meeting, Mayor Sulka issued a proclamation joining LowCountry Alliance for Healthy Youth in raising awareness about positive mental health and substance use prevention. The proclamation acknowledged May as Mental Health and Substance Use Awareness Month in the Town of Bluffton. Annually, LCAHY develops an E-Newsletter to share mental health and substance use prevention information. The Surgeon General's Advisory on “Loneliness” is highlighted. They provided students and teachers with THY’s Stress Fact Card and Suicide Prevention Fact Card. In addition, they read morning announcements creating an awareness for May Mental Health Awareness Month and made postings for the THY Instagram account.
