Teens for Healthy Youth (THY) are making and sharing a series of videos that give their peers positive ideas and productive activities of what to do at home during COVID-19 Pandemic. Kylie Nelson, a member of THY at May River High School, created a video to showcase her cooking a meal for her family during COVID-19. Abby White, a May River High School THY member, made a short Youtube video showing how she is making jewelry and selling it to teens during her time at home. Abby hopes her video will encourage other youth to start their own businesses. Audrey Weidner, a member of THY at Bluffton High School, created a video of her dancing and exercising with her siblings. Please, see the teens’ videos below. THY recognizes that the uncertainty of COVID-19 and psychological responses to isolation and stress may lead to anxiety, depression, and drug and/or alcohol use. THY will continue to develop ideas and activities to share with their peers during the pandemic. Teens for Healthy Youth is an initiative of the LowCountry Alliance for Healthy Youth. The goal of THY is to promote positive teen health.
