Lowcountry Alliance for Healthy Youth Inducted 2023-2024 Teens for Healthy Youth Members

The LowCountry Alliance for Healthy Youth (LCAHY) hosted a ceremony to induct members of its youth coalition, Teens for Healthy Youth (THY), representing THY groups in the following schools: Bluffton High School, Cross Schools, Hilton Head Christian Academy, and May River High School. Teens for Healthy Youth members shared projects and events completed thus far this school year that support their mission to promote positive teen health through leadership, advocacy, community service, and peer to peer education. One of LCAHY’s 2022-2023 Outstanding Senior Award Recipients presented and encouraged the inductees to stay dedicated year-round to THY initiatives and encouraged the youth to work towards LCAHY’s Outstanding Senior Service Award Recognition. Jillian Campanella, the coalition’s youth sector CIA representative, congratulated the youth on their efforts and stressed the importance and positive impact their efforts make on their school and community. In addition, Cheryl Rodriguez, LCAHY’s parent sector CIA representative addressed the parents and invited them to take a survey to express their interest in being involved with the coalition. To view the parent survey click here.  Furthermore, she applauded the youth coalition for their impressive work to promote total health and wellness and commended them for being positive role models to their peers. Annually, LCAHY holds an induction ceremony to recognize its youth coalition members, which is an activity in their 12-Month Action Plan.
