LowCountry Alliance for Healthy Youth Staff Informational Table During Bluffton Library Non-Profit Expo

LowCountry Alliance for Healthy Youth (LCAHY) staffed an informational table during the Bluffton Library’s Non-Profit Expo.  About 27 non-profits participated in the event, and around 25 visited the LCAHY table. The event allowed LCAHY to connect with other organizations. LCAHY was invited to staff a table during the Bluffton Police Department Cook Out for Latino Families in July. In addition, Pasos, an organization that supports healthy Latino communities was very interested in obtaining LCAHY’s Spanish resources for the Hispanic community. Bluffton Chamber of Commerce extended an invitation to non-profits to become members. Also, Bluffton Library’s Teen Coordinator invited LCAHY’s youth coalition, Teens for Healthy Youth, to present to teens and parents. LCAHY plans to take advantage of additional community outreach opportunities in Hilton Head and Bluffton to create awareness of the coalition and build positive relationships with community organizations.

The LCAHY table provided resources in Spanish and English.

LCAHY interacted with numerous community groups.
