LCAHY Participates in Belk Charity Event June 2026

LowCountry Alliance for Healthy Youth (LCAHY) participated in Belk’s Charity Event through the Hilton Head Island store. LCAHY sold $5 Belk Charity Event coupons to guests and in return guests received $5 off their purchase and 25% off luxury name brand items and received additional discounts by downloading the Belk App. Guests also had the opportunity to purchase a $2 raffle ticket from LCAHY for the opportunity to win a $40 Serg Restaurant gift card. LCAHY raised about $200 from selling Belk Coupons and raffle tickets. LCAHY staffed an informational desk during the event that contained LCAHY’s Informational brochures, Teens for Healthy Youth informational brochures, and free Deterra bags with LCAHY’s Year-Round Rx Drop Box Locations Fact Card.  Providing information on properly disposing prescription medications is an activity in LCAHY’s 12-Month Action Plan under Strategy 1 Providing Information. Providing Deterra bags to members of the community is an activity under Strategy 6 Change Physical Design in LCAHY’s 12-Month Action Plan. LCAHY plans to participate annually in the Belk Charity Event as part of generating funds to meet the goals via LCAHY’s Sustainability Plan.
