THY May River High Participate in National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week

May River High School Teens for Healthy Youth (THY) participated in peer-to-peer education during National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week. THY May River educated their peers through their student news program, the Daily Fin. They also placed posters around the school building about the effects of drugs and alcohol on the teen body and brain. In addition, they shared facts via THY’s “Your Mind Matters” bulletin board in Student Services at May River High. The Daily Fin video clip, posters, and drug/alcohol facts on the Your Mind Matters Bulletin Board reached more than 1,000 students. May River High Teens for Healthy Youth plan to participate annually in National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week to promote positive teen health, peer to peer education, positive youth development, and advocacy.
