Teens for Healthy Youth (THY), an initiative of LowCountry Alliance for Healthy Youth, encouraged their peers to participate in National Drug Facts Week from home during the Covid-19 Pandemic. High school teachers posted the National Drug Facts Week Drug and Alcohol IQ Challenge and Shatter the Myths video in their Google Classrooms. THY hopes that their peers will learn the facts about the dangers of e-cigarettes, alcohol, marijuana, and other drugs. Teens for Healthy Youth recognizes that social distancing and learning from home may be stressful for teens and hopes to discourage their peers from turning to alcohol, e-cigarettes, marijuana, and other drugs. Teens for Healthy Youth plan to provide more information to their peers that will promote positive teen health during these times of uncertainty.
