THY Cross Address Stress During Winter Exams

Teens for Healthy Youth at Cross Schools addressed stress during winter exams. THY acknowledges that exam time can increase stress for students and can be a risk factor for teen substance use or abuse. To help their peers cope with stress THY provided healthy tips for managing stress to their peers. They also brought in two dogs to give students and staff an opportunity to “Paws on Stress” and pet the pups before taking their final exams to reduce stress and “pawsitively” manage stress. THY engaged the lower school students and staff in the event as well. THY plans to address stress annually during final exam time.
