Teens for Healthy Youth Promote National Mental Wellness Awareness Month

Teens for Healthy Youth (THY) at Bluffton High School promoted January Mental Wellness Awareness Month to their peers. THY created video clips with tips for promoting wellness and shared them in the student news. Watch their videos here. They also encouraged their peers to choose one wellness strategy to promote during the New Year. See examples in the pictures below. LowCountry Alliance for Healthy Youth’s (LCAHY) E-News on January Mental Wellness Awareness Month was shared via the Bluffton High School parent newsletter with 1,300 parents and via email to 150 staff members. To read LCAHY E-news click here. Promoting peer-to-peer education is an activity in LCAHY’s 12-Month Action Plan under Strategy 1 Providing Information. THY, LCAHY’s youth coalition, provides peer to peer education year-round.
