Teens for Healthy Youth at Hilton Head Island High School collaborated with David Martin, Business Sector CIA and LCAHY board member to help youth in need during the holiday season. David Martin donated funds to allow Teens for Healthy Youth members to shop for, purchase, and wrap gifts for kids in need. David Martin donated over $600 worth of toys for youth in need. At Bluffton High School, Teens for Healthy Youth, engaged in a school-wide community service project called Angel Tree. THY Bluffton members donated money and purchased a gift for an anonymous teen in need at Bluffton High School. Teens for Healthy Youth recognize that adverse childhood experiences are risk factors for youth substance use and related risk behaviors. THY hopes their efforts will bring cheer to children and teens in need during the holidays.
