Teens for Healthy Youth (THY) Bluffton High School educated their peers on Teen Dating Violence (TDV) during National Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. THY developed their skits to show what healthy relationships with boundaries look like. These skits were featured in No Cap Student News and were viewed by 1,300 students and 200 teachers and staff members. View a morning news episode at TDV Skit THY. THY also developed a Google Form quiz for students to take based on information in their THY TDV Fact Card. The TDV Quiz and Fact Card were posted on students’ grade-level Google Classroom so all students could take the quiz and view the fact card. To view the quiz click here. One student was selected to receive a gift basket to incentivize students to take the quiz. Over 250 students participated. Peer-to-peer education and sharing resources on teen substance use and related risk behaviors is a strategy in LCAHY’s 12-month action plan under Strategy 1 Providing Information under the Seven Strategies of Community Level Change.
