LowCountry Alliance for Healthy Youth & Teens for Healthy Youth Assist at Rx Take Back Day 2022

The LowCountry Alliance for Healthy Youth (LCAHY) co-sponsored Rx Take Back Day. Teens for Healthy Youth (THY), LCAHY’s Youth Coalition, assisted with the distribution of LCAHY’s Year-Round Rx Take Back Location Fact Cards and Deterra bags provided by BCADAD to individuals returning their unused prescription medications. Approximately 80 cars dropped off medications during the event. Assisting at Take Back Day is an activity of LCAHY’s 12 Month Action Plan to reduce access to unused prescription medications.

The LowCountry Alliance for Healthy Youth (LCAHY) and their youth coalition, Teens for Healthy Youth (THY), co-sponsored Rx Take Back Day, a nationwide event where people can stop by at select locations and drop off their unused medication for safe disposal.

Approximately 80 cars dropped off medications during the event. THY assisted with the distribution of Year-Round Rx Take Back Location Fact Cards and Deterra bags, courtesy of BCADAD, to people who were returning their unused prescription medications. This event is an activity of LCAHY’s 12 Month Action Plan to reduce access to unused prescription medications.
