The LowCountry Alliance for Healthy Youth (LCAHY) was chosen as the Hilton Head Market’s Non-Profit of the month. HH Market’s Non-Profit of the Month receives an $800 donation in exchange for staffing a table during the market. LCAHY staffed an information table at the Hilton Head Market three Saturdays in March to create awareness for the coalition and its prevention resources. LCAHY provided community members with a free Deterra bag and distributed LCAHY’s Year-Round Rx Drop Box Location Fact Cards. Members of LCAHY’s Youth Coalition supported the event by selling raffle tickets for $2 for a chance to win a local Serg Restaurant gift card. Distributing LCAHY’s Year-Round Rx Drop Box Locations Fact card is an activity in LCAHY’s 12-Month Action under Strategy 1 Providing Information. Participating in opportunities to receive local funds is part of LCAHY’s Sustainability Plan.
