LCAHY and THY Featured in Mondays with the Mayor

Wendy Cummings, Chair of the LowCountry Alliance for Healthy Youth, was interviewed by Bluffton’s Mayor, Lisa Sulka on a series entitled “Mondays with the Mayor”. The interview featured the LowCountry Alliance for Healthy Youth with a focus on the successes of their youth coalition, Teens for Healthy Youth. Wendy Cummings highlighted THY’s success in promoting positive teen health by using peer-to-peer. She also explained that THY started in one area school and has grown to include seven area high schools and includes a diverse group of students. In addition, Mayor Sulka mentioned her excitement that THY groups in Bluffton would be promoting Lutzie 43, a campaign that discouraged drunk, drugged, and distracted driving with the Town of Bluffton.
