Teens for Healthy Youth Educate Parents on Medicine Safety During Trunk or Treat

Teens for Healthy Youth (THY) Bluffton High School educated the community during October Medicine Abuse Awareness Month. THY gave parents and caregivers THY’s Medicine Safety Fact Card to educate them about proper medicine use during National Medicine Abuse Awareness Month. One hundred fact cards were distributed to adults during the event. THY plans to educate the community annually during National Medicine Abuse Awareness Month. Providing information about medicine safety is an activity in LCAHY’s 12-Month Action Plan under Strategy 1 Providing Information.

THY Bluffton’s Trunk or Treat Theme this year was the movie “Tangled” to align with Red Ribbon’s Theme “Life is a Movie, Film Drug-Free”.

Sharing prevention resources in Spanish and English is an activity in LCAHY’s 12 Month Action plan under Strategy 4 Reducing Barriers.
