Teens for Healthy Youth Accept May National Mental Health and Substance Use Awareness Proclamation At Bluffton Town Council Meeting

Teens for Healthy Youth members accepted the May National Mental Health and Substance Use Awareness Month Proclamation issued by Mayor Sulka during the Bluffton Town Council Meeting. The Proclamation proclaims the month of May to be Mental Health and Substance Abuse Awareness Month in the Town of Bluffton, South Carolina. SAMSHA’s National Prevention Month (NPW) is a national public education platform bringing together communities and organizations to raise awareness about the importance of substance use prevention and positive mental health. This year’s theme focused on strengthening the community, building resilience, and creating hope. Annually, Teens for Healthy Youth, the youth coalition of the LowCountry Alliance for Healthy Youth, attends the May Town Council Meeting to accept the Proclamation issued by the Mayor.
